A style blog for the tweedy and erratic. I love leopard print and Alexander McQueen more than is probably normal. My own outfits can be found under this tag. My main blog is prologi. |
Blazer: H&M

Jeans: H&M
Necklace: Lindex
Shoes: Tretorn

Jesus, that’s a lot of H&M in one outfit.
This is, like, a masterclass in wearing all of your clothes at once. I love pairing this blazer with the leopard print belt, for no reason I can really recognise.
Jacket: Lindex
Shirt: KappAhl
Scarf: Alexander McQueen
Jeans: Lindex
Shoes: Tretorn

A slightly more recent one this time. You can’t tell, but I’m wearing another long-sleeve shirt under the jacket, and two pairs of leggings under the jeans. It wasn’t enough, for the record.
This jacket is still about the most awesome thing I own.
Blazer: Lindex, boys’ department
Shirt: Threadless
Jeans: H&M
Necklace: Science Museum in London
Ring: H&M
Shoes: Converse

This is even older. You can tell by the hair and by the fact it wasn’t too cold to wear Cons. Or just a t-shirt under my blazer. (So the cold’s been getting to me. -20C every day for two weeks does that to you.)
The prop is a bit dorky, possibly, but I took this in the morning before leaving for my lecture, and you’re going to need a bloody crowbar to separate me from caffeine in the morning. NB: I’m a student, ‘morning’ is any time before noon.
Cardigan: Lindex
Shirt: H&M
Belt: Seppälä, at a guess
Jeans: KappAhl
Necklace: Um. Possibly KappAhl.
Shoes: Tretorn
30 for 30: 7
One from the archives, like you can tell from my hair. This was taken shortly before I had it cut off in a fit of desperation. Not really feeling this outfit. It doesn’t feel very ~me, and the proportions are a bit off, I think. The sequin belt is fierce as anything, though.
Shirt: Lindex
Scarf: Alexander McQueen, via eBay
Bangle: probably Lindex
Jeans: H&M
Shoes: Tretorn

This one’s from today. I still have a bunch of unposted outfits, but whatever. I wore this to go hang out at a friend’s house. The reason I’m not wearing every single item of clothing I own is because I got a lift from another friend. It’s been insanely cold for the past week, which means I’ve mostly been wearing two shirts, a cardigan and a blazer and still freezing.
Some of my friends informed me that with my new hair I could basically pass for quite a fey guy if I wore different jeans. I’m choosing to take this as a compliment. Kurt Hummel is totally a style icon.

Jeans: Lindex

Look, they’re not all going to be interesting or innovative.
This sweatshirt is seriously a godsend. I’ve worn it, like, ten times already, because some days you’re just cold and miserable and have bad hair, and nothing is quite as good as something fierce but comfortable.
Sweater: H&M
Skirt: Modcloth
Necklace: Lindex, I think
Tights: KappAhl
Boots: K-Kenkä

This sweater is strange, because objectively it’s quite unflattering, but I love it to bits. The silhouette is a departure from my usual jeans-and-jacket thing, which is quite nice. I didn’t wear this outfit out of the house, though, mostly because it’s currently -23 degrees Celsius kill me now. Also I have to do quite a bit of walking, and these boots aren’t exactly made for eating up the miles.
The tights were on sale. GEE I WONDER WHY. Maybe the masses fail to appreciate the fierceness of white tights with a grey-and-purple abstract quasi-argyle print, the heathens.
Scarf: Alexander McQueen, via eBay
Blazer: H&M
Shirt: Threadless
Badges: (top to bottom) Espoo Museum of Modern Art, c/o Geek Calendar, thrifted
Belt: KappAhl
Jeans: Lindex
Shoes: Converse, from an outlet in Las Vegas
30 for 30: 3
This is a prime example of my uniform: graphic tee, blazer, jeans, Cons. It’s probably a little sad that tucking in the shirt and adding a scarf counts as quite a radical experiment. The jeans are sort of a bronzey colour. They are sparkly and ridiculous, though sadly quite a lot of the glitter has washed off.
These shoes feature in quite a few of the outfits I’ve photographed already. They are wearable in quite a narrow range of temperatures at the moment: colder than -5 and my toes will fall off, despite hand-knit wool socks, and above +2 and the melting snow will seep through. Still, these shoes have seen a lot. The Vegas Strip, the Grand Canyon, Hollywood, London, Oxford, Cambridge, Amsterdam… They are my go-to travelling shoes, because they’re comfortable as anything and really versatile, if you dress like me. :P
30 for 30 master post
Yeah, about time. I’ve been really busy with university and a part-time job. I have at least three outfits photographed and everything, so hopefully I’ll get a chance to post those soonish.

I stalked this shirt for a good while on Yoox, sighing over the price tag. And then one day the price had miraculously dropped by half. \o/ It might not be the most remixable item in my closet, but I love it to bits. It’s warm and comfortable and the right amount of urban and edgy. When I’m a glamorous jetsetter I will wear it on every flight ever.
Oh, and I’ve actually picked out my items now, and taken pictures. Still kind of waffling between a black shirt and a white one, but I’ll just see which one I need first and go with that. :P
Blazer: Lindex, boys’ department
Astrolabe pin: The Museum of the History of Science, Oxford
Dress: small shop in Dublin
Studded belt: KappAhl, children’s department
Boots: thrifted
30 for 30: 1
The reason I haven’t made a master post of my 30 items is that, uh, I kind of haven’t picked them out yet. I’m pretty busy, and also lazy about doing laundry.
The blazer is kind of boxy, which is to be expected. I wanted to wear it a bit more fitted today, so I overlapped the edges, safety-pinned it in place and belted over the whole thing. It worked out quite well, I think. The dress is from a small shop in Dublin a few years ago, but Dorothy Perkins carries the brand (Closet), and is currently selling the same style in an almost identical fabric.
So, I signed up for this. It’s mostly to disguise the fact my wardrobe naturally sets me a 30 for 365 challenge, but.
